Cabanes assures that L’A must be “the counterweight” of the Government

Liberals closed its electoral campaign this evening in the auditorium of the Congress Center in the capital. About ninety people – including the head of the list of the capital of DA + L’A, Conxita Marsol – have accompanied the candidate for head of government Josep Maria Cabanes who has been optimistic about Sunday’s elections.

“The feelings are very good, people expect a lot from us, they expect us to be a counterweight to liberal politics,” remarked Cabanes. In fact, throughout the event those of the blue wave wanted to establish themselves as the counterweight of DA within the executive, as they have already done for the last four years.

In this sense, the president of the party, Jordi Gallardo, has assured that “the electoral result of 2019 asked us to look for the good of the country; we needed the agreement and the will to make a pact that we have in L’A” and he added that the Liberals are what “served to give balance to the Government’s actions”.

In the same vein, Víctor Filloy has emphasized that it has been a complicated legislature: we start with four ministers and end up with two; the decisions we had to make within the Government weighed little at times, but despite this we can make a positive balance”. In fact, the liberal in charge of housing for the last four years has stated that the work done in this area “is not visible;

I recognize that many people are going through very complicated situations but they cannot be resolved in a single legislature, I think we have established the foundations”. For his part, Cabanes has reiterated in relation to housing that “the public always has a budget limitation, if the private sector finds profitability it is the one that will be able to build housing at an affordable price and will be able to lower the market price”.
