Medina’s triumph and Gabriel’s podium on the Àliga track

The skier scores 31 FIS points, which improve the current 40.29

Íria Medina won the FIS giant held yesterday at the Àliga del Tarter track organized by the FAE and the ECPCGR (Esquí Club Pas de la Casa Grau Roig) as a prelude to the Andorra Championship. The skier completed the route with a record of 1’37”13, achieving a margin of 2”41 over the Spanish June Garitano, and 3”06 over the country’s fellow skier Clàudia Garcia.

During this race, Medina also improved his FIS points in giant, scoring 31, which improves on the current 40.29. Also competing in the race were Jordina Caminal, who was seventh 3.98 away from victory, and Carla Mijares, who did not complete the second heat after leading the first with a difference of 0.03 ahead of Medina.

As for the men’s race, the victory went to the Spanish skier Alejandro Puente, with a time of 1’33”84, beating his compatriot Tomás Barata. The best FAE skier was Bartumeu Gabriel, 1.26 away from victory, and Xavi Cornella, seventh at 2.09 from the winner, and Àlex Rius, eighth at 2.56 from the best time, also managed to enter the Top 10 .
